IBUYPOWER - Terrible customer service and order handling
I ordered a gaming laptop to use for college roughly 2 weeks before classes started. The good: computer runs games extremely well and wasn't overpriced for what it does.
The bad: order placed on the 5th of August. Computer built around the 20th. No word for nearly 2 weeks while the computer was in software and burn in(keep in mind they say builds usually ship withing 5-10 business days). One very annoyed phone call later, we find out that there was a problem with the computer but it was magically fixed and on its way now, with 2 day shipping (this was the wednesday before labor day).
Turns out they did 3 day shipping, meaning we waited 5 days rather than 2. Once it finally arrives, it can't get through the windows setup, crashing during the process and starting over(presumably the "fixed" problem). After installing a fresh copy of windows, it finally worked and would boot. The first day I tried using it for notes, it freezes for about 30 seconds while typing, then the whole computer crashes 5 minutes later.
Try again to take notes, word freezes within 2 minutes of typing. Overall, mildly irritated with the computer itself, extremely unhappy with how the order was handled
Reason of review: several of the above.
Monetary Loss: $1700.
Preferred solution: Price reduction.
IBUYPOWER Pros: Website and computer power for the price.
IBUYPOWER Cons: Customer service, Handling of the order.
